okay to all of you ruger 10/22 shooters. ruger now makes a 25 rd mag. it is okay. it has some quirks. it does not like mag loaders, the spring tension make the 2nd of 25 rds in misfeed, and it does not like sub-sonic ammo. that said, if you only load 20 rds it funtions flawlessly. i picked up 2 and they are the only mags i will use in my 10/22. the quirks are tolerable compared to other 10/22 hi-cap mags!

How do these compare to the Butler Creek Steel Lips? Same/better/worse?

okay, i put 500 rounds through the 10/22 2 weeks ago with different ammo. i only had three misfeeds strangely they were 3 cci rounds in a row from the same box(factory mishap?). seriously even thunderbolts fired flawlessly!

to timmyb,
butler creek steel lips are difficult for me to get in illinois(as are all hi cap mags). i ordered these online and, i have no complaints.
so i have no comparision to give you but i can say with no hesitation they make Ramline and any other plastic mag look like they were made by a pair of squirrels counting fingers while wearing oven mitts!

Hey, I actually remembered my sign on this time...
Thanks Roach! I've only ever used the Butler Creek hi-cap mags and have been pleased with them overall. The plastic lipped ones that my buddy had didn't seem to feed as well or last as long as the steel lipped ones which have been great overall. The only downfall to them is that they aren't able to be disassembled and cleaned.
I'll have to put a few of the Ruger ones on the Xmas wish list! Can never have too many extra magazines.
