Talked to a freind with an airsoft bussiness, and he got his 1st promo shipment of Tippmann Airsofts and related publications, they are chinese made by the same company that makes Brass Eagle paintball guns. Looks like the first wave of Tippmanns downhill slide has started.

and this matters how? since Tippmann has nothing to do with Tippmann that we started with, it doesn't matter anymore. and with any new venture you will have questionable quality, till experience comes through. but then again, since its airsoft, it really doesn't matter anyway.

well the writing on the wall says its only a matter of time until they ship their paintball manufacturing there as well... especially when the realize the cost difference and with tourney level electros now under 200 bux they are going to have to start dropping prices if they want to keep the players coming back

Well airsoft are technically toys. I cant think of one US maker of AirSoft guns, Tokio Maroi, Classic Army ect ect they are all commie made toys. Why they have those cool trademarks. In America they would have been eaten by lawyers.
I predict that Airsoft will go the way of paintball did after all all their guns besides springers are full auto and all the videos i seen online are of kids hosing each other off in ful auto till one fells a bb hit one of the less padded areas of their body. Once their guns start breaking down or they will have to find themselves spending and extra $300 plus dollars to get their guns up there. With lazers, lights, Scopes, Weaver rails every where and of course new motors and HOP up thingies a airsoft gun will be like when paintball had the fabled $1,000 Angel 'god guns' and most had the semis and there went the paintball arms race.
fortunatelly in recent Years Paintball has started to shift towards a Middle ground where Tourny Agresiveness and the large mission based games. This Hibrid paintball part tourney part rec player is indeed the future of paintball. With paintballs growing interest and popularity the markers are now comming down. County now has SP Ions for 200 just ad HPA and a Good Hopper and you have a good electro gun. Paint is now cheap at the last few games i went to the most i paid for paint was $60 a case at Chuck's Place. I can get $55 cases of Blaze and other godo paint at my local shop.
Just hope that Tippmann doesnt put all it's eggs on the scuba snipa basket and ends up on the trend train.

Tippmann is NOT Tippmann. Someone sold the company and the "name".
Think of it like SmartParts, it's JUST a business now. Say what you wnt about the Tippmann boys, but they did have paintball in their veins. Make money? sure, but now, fogetaboutit.
Tippmann is now a company with $$$ ONLY in their eyes. They will milk the A5 and Model98s as far as possible, they still have a few years left of doing that. kEEP THE MACHINE CRANKING. Luckily, the MilSim craze is in Full Swing, so the A5 has found it's niche, for sure.
Funny thing, not knocking the A5, or anything, but , back in the day, we would laugh about all the bolt ons for SPyders.......I have never seen more bolt-ons for a gun than what is gonig on with the A5 right now. You can tunr it into anything from an AK47 to a Malaysian Fizzlesmasher 2006!
I see a Chinese made PB Electro in Tippmann's future, real soon.
They will stick with AerSoft (ScubaSNipa) guns from China as long as they sell. No tooling up, no wages to pay, simply import, import, import.
We can safely say Paintball was Born in the USA, but, in the same breath, AerSoft was born in Asia.
Buy American!
(Hint: if you type [Airsoft] on this forum, it will come out as "ScubaSnipa" )

Hey my G+G Armaments M14 is American made, american industry is tooling up for the oncoming rush, according to my buddy with a store in Oklahoma, he can not stock nor order guns and equipment fast enough for the new demand.
Several American firearm companys are exploring the market, Colt has a $1100 M16/M4 training 6mm gas model on the market, for law enforcement/military sales.
Even Canfields, Sheels, and Cabellas are putting the mid/high end guns in the stores and online, and are allways out of stock.
Colt and others have given license finally to most manufaturers so the days of plastic "toy" guns are fading as more metal "real" replicas are appearing and for under $350 base in most cases. A CA M4 runs $325, and shoots 350fps out of the box, with large battery, charger, and discharger (prevents battery charge storage memory, longer battry life) included.

Jr. is still in charge of Tippmann and how things are done there. They are still making this here and will be for some time. They still have paintball in their blood and continue to help little guys like me.

That is good to hear. They didn't completely sell out, just put the company in the hands of a management group that will maxamize the profit potential while keeping some of the cash flow going to some of the family. But still pretty much "sold out" though.
